February is the month that sparked love between me and Andy. ✨

We made sugar cookies together (and quite the mess of flour and frosting) on Valentine’s Day, went on our first non-date date, I gave him an adventure box, and we kissed each other for the first time. It was a deliciously sweet month six years ago.

I love our love story, and we are best friends. There have been times where I have felt like I somehow didn’t deserve so much happiness, but I know that’s not true.

We can’t expect our lives to go perfectly. Sometimes our voyage does not lead to the destination we planned for, but takes us through treacherous waters. We may think we our boat is sinking, but with a little time and hindsight, we can see the winds were pushing us to a wildly more beautiful place than we could have possibly imagined.

This month, I’m especially grateful for love, and the capacity of the human spirit. I hope you know how strong, capable, and worthy of every good thing you are. It’s not something you have to prove or earn, it’s just who you are.
