At Kindred Lands, we believe that the world is a bigger, kinder, more magnificent place when we feel connection to one another and hold a strong personal story. 

We were led to this project by the deep love we have for our own personal heritages and by an insatiable seeking after the beauty and richness of life. We began as many of you might—not knowing much about who we are or where our stories fit in the fabric of humanity. As we have explored, listened, discovered, and learned, we realize how full of wonder this journey will be, and hope to inspire you to begin your own.

Kindred Lands is a celebration of humanity and each other. No matter where we are from, or where we currently live, we belong to one big family. When you trace family lines back far enough, we are all connected. Kindred Lands is a global community and lifestyle blog with deep roots. It is a place to find yourself, and a place to belong.

Our purpose is to help you discover your ancestry in meaningful ways: to learn traditions, recipes, dances, and stories from the countries of your heritage, working them into your home life and personal narrative. We encourage all to visit the land of your ancestors, and hope to inspire your voyages there.

The invitation of Kindred Lands is to discover the richness of life. We do this through exploring the beauty and wisdom of cultures around the world, connecting to ourselves and each other in the process.
